Backup or Restore in HTFY Publisher

The Backups option in HTFY Publisher is a crucial feature that ensures the safety and stability of your static website. It allows you to create, manage, and restore full backups of your website with a single click, helping you recover instantly from accidental changes, errors, or data loss.

Key Features:

• One-Click Full Website Backup: Instantly generate a complete backup of your site, including pages, articles, settings, SEO data, and themes.

• Restore Anytime: You can restore any existing backup to bring your website back to its previous state in seconds.

• Folder-Specific Backup (Normal Backup): Allows creating backups of individual directories like /upload/, /page/, or specific project folders for focused protection.

• Manual Upload & Restore: You can manually upload a previously downloaded backup and restore it using the Restore option.

Important Notes:

• Only backups created by the HTFY Publisher Backup System are supported for restoration.

• Always create a backup before making major changes to your content, theme, or SEO settings.

• Backup files are automatically named and stored within your /ht-admin/backups/ folder or your designated backup directory.

How to Use:

1. Navigate to the Backups tab in your dashboard.

2. Click on Create Backup to generate a new full-site backup.

3. To restore, choose the desired backup file from the list or upload a backup ZIP file.

4. Click Restore Backup to complete the process.
